Week of fun

As I said in the previous posts "what will happen next week." As you probably have read about Cameron and the staph infection. Which is gone by the way. Yeah!! It can be a little scary. We got through it. Now he is really congested and coughing really bad.

This week...let's see. Tyler started to run a fever on Sunday night--nothing major but still a fever. Monday it got a little worse still not bad. 100.5 Tuesday I could tell that he didn't feel good at all. Troy picked him up from the sitters house and he was running a fever of 102.2 so I took him into the walk-in clinic and she said that he right ear drum was bulging surprised it hadn't burst. He never once complained about it. The lymph node on the left side of his neck is swollen and enlarged (we have been fighting this issue since September). It will swell up, go down, swell up again. Never ending cycle. They put him on an antibiotic and told me to take him to his regular doctor in a few days.

I took Tyler to his regular pediatrician on Friday and the ear drum was much better. However he has lost 4 lbs since our last visit. Since he never wants to eat anything and the 4 lbs lost we decided to do a complete CBC w/differential. We also did an ultrasound on the lymph node to see what is going on there. I guess I will find out what is going on this week. We have the hardest time getting Tyler to eat anything anymore (he says I don't like food). What 3 1/2 year old doesn't like food. It seems like he doesn't sleep well anymore either.

Picture taken in January..cheeks are fuller here.

Picture taken earlier this evening. You can tell that his cheeks are thinner.

Out of commission

Our computer has been out of commission for a while so I haven't been able to do much blogging. What has been going on....well we found out that Cameron has a staph infection on Wednesday but he can be treated with strong antibiotics. They aren't sure how he got it but he did. If something is going to happen it will happen to my kids.

Speech therapy is going well. Cameron now says baby. It is so cute!

Tyler is getting bigger and bigger. He is out growing his 4T pants just because they are becoming high-wadders. If we can hold out one more month until it gets warm. Hard to find winter clothes now. Tyler's medication has been increased a whole ML since he keeps having seizures...one a month. Since the increase he hasn't had a seizure and its been about a month. I hope we continue down this path.

Troy is doing well--has a cold right now but other than that doing good. Me..hanging in there. Taking care of everyone.

Growing Boy.....

Hard to believe that Cameron is already 18 months old. The time has flown by. Cameron went to the doctor on Friday for his 18 month check-up. His ears look great after having the tubes put in. His weight is hefty. He weighed 30 lbs and was 35 inches long which the doc said was an average size of a 2-3 year old. He is just going to be big! His height was in the 98% and his weight was around the 78% range.

We are still doing speech therapy every Friday through First Steps. He has picked up a new word which was exciting...DADA! He also says MO MO (for Smokey--the dog) if you don't already know that.

Will post some pics later once I get my computer back up and running.
