Spring Time...feels more like summer time

The past few days have been beautiful, hot, and full of activities. Friday started out with a trip to Cincinnati to see Tyler's neurologist where he changed Tyler's medicine an did blood work. Came home around 2:00 or so. Cameron had speech at 3:30 for an hour. Then we played outside for a while.

Saturday we went to a birthday party at Amerisport Gymnastics. We (Troy & I) even had fun jumping around the foam pit, rings, trampolines. Came home for nap time. Played outside for the rest of the day.

Today we went out to Jacobson park early. Nap time and outside some more. Then we decided to come in because it was hot and the boys were a little grouchy. Me and Tyler watched Kung Fu Panda on his TV while daddy and Cameron watched TV in the living room.

"slide was so much fun mom"

OT Evaluation

Another week goes by another doctor's visit for Tyler. This week we went to an OT therapist to determine if Tyler would need their services. His pediatrician recommended OT after several conversations from me saying that something wasn't right with a 3 1/2 year old putting things in the mouth that don't belong and not wanting to eat regular food that belongs in the mouth.

I thought we were going in for just an OT evaluation for that reason but we left with another issue. The therapist took Tyler back by himself for about 30 minutes and then came out and got me. Once I went back the therapist said to me "is he always this way!" He sure is. Meaning that he is so high strung and doesn't listen and isn't very focused. He likes things being a certain way, doesn't like change, etc. I answered questions about his habits and the way he is. We went over everything! Once we were done he left with a diagnosis of sensory processing disorder. The therapist still needed to get with the pediatrician to see what his thoughts were but guess what---he still hadn't called her back as of late this afternoon. I am beginning to wonder if I don't need a more active pediatrician.

Please keep Tyler in your thoughts and prayers with all that he has coming ahead of him.

Eggs...Candy...Baskets...

Easter was very interesting to say the least. The Saturday before Easter we had dinner with the in-laws and found some eggs and spent time with the cousins. We grilled out burgers and dogs. Plain and simple.

The boys got up Easter morning with a basket each with candy waiting on them. Cameron got a golf set and Tyler got a new fishing pole so that he can go fishing with daddy.

Easter Sunday we hid about 60-70 eggs at my aunt's house. There was probably about 10 kids there. The younger kids got to start about 30 seconds earlier than the other kids. So Cameron, Riley, and Tyler were the younger ones to start. However, Tyler wasn't going to start early at first because my aunt thought he was about 5 or 6 years old. Uh he is 3! We had some good ham, rolls, green beans, etc. Yum!

Sunny Day

Yesterday was cold and gray. Today was sunny and beautiful. Amazing how the weather will change day to day. Since it was such a beautiful day we just did some yard work and let the boys enjoy the day.

Tyler loves to be up in this tree

Adorable face!
